Indicator Definitions

Graduates Going to College or University:

Total number of public high school graduates enrolled in a Mississippi community college or public university within 16 months of graduation.

ACT Scores of College-Enrolled Graduates:

Percentage of college-enrolled public high school graduates who scored in a certain range on the ACT.

Graduates Taking Remedial Courses:

Number of public high school graduates enrolled in a Mississippi community college or public university taking postsecondary remedial courses within 16 months of graduation.

Graduates Passing College Algebra:

Percentage of public high school graduates enrolled in a Mississippi community college or public university passing College Algebra within one year of enrollment.

Graduates Passing English Composition:

Percentage of public high school graduates enrolled in a Mississippi community college or public university passing College English Composition within one year of enrollment.

Graduates Attaining 24 Credit Hours:

Number of public high school graduates enrolled in a Mississippi community college or public university within 16 months of graduation who attained 24 credit hours within two years of enrollment.

Freshman Fall-To-Fall Retention:

Number of public high school graduates enrolled in a Mississippi community college or public university returning to college or university in the fall after one year of enrollment.

Public University Graduation:

Number of first-time, full-time university-enrolled public high school graduates who graduated within six years of enrollment at a Mississippi public university.

Community College Graduation:

Number of first-time, full-time college-enrolled public high school graduates who graduated within three years of enrollment at a Mississippi community college.
